CALS Benchmark Skills Lab
The CALS Benchmark Skills lab is a day-long experience offered at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). The lab covers over 50 skills necessary for critical stabilization of emergency patients. It also stresses preparation, teamwork and hands-on skills learning and practice. The lab is offered separately from the CALS Provider Course on a regular basis. It has been reviewed and is acceptable for a maximum of 7.5 credit hours in category 1 towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Equivalent continuing education credits are available for other team members.
