Objectives
- Provide physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practiioners and paramedics with the opportunity to learn and practice infrequently used life-saving skills and skills not offered in the two-day CALS Provider Course.
- Provide skills training to satisfy STAC education requirements for level 3 or 4 trauma certification.

- Cricothyrotomy
- Needle thoracostomy for tension pneumothorax
- Chest tube insertion, adult
- Percutaneous pericardiocentesis
- Helmet removal
- Leg traction splint
- FAST Exam: introduction to the use of ultrsound in trauma care
Accreditation: This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 3 prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. The Commission on Continuing Professional Development (COCPD) has approved AAFP CME credit for this activity.
